The designer of these leggings, Phillippa Brider is actually all the way from Zimbabwe; this is the first design she’s ever done for us! Both designs in this pair of tights are her textiles, which she’s painted by hand, and scanned digitally for us to print and manufacture right here in South Africa. How amazing is that? The entire process of working with Phillippa, watching these tights go from idea to fruition, has just been incredible.
The “Underwater Life” print embodies all-things to do with the ocean! As a Durban baby myself – who’s always felt connected and drawn to the sea – I just adore the little references to coral, urchins and the water. The reverse design is a “Blue Camo” print, different from a normal, green-hued camo print, which is something I’ve always wanted to do! The different shades of navy, white, grey, purple, blue and baby yellow make these leggings ideal to mix and match with any stunning outfit or ensemble.
