“I’ve got my rebounder, now what?” is one of our most commonly-asked questions. Well, here’s everything you need to know to get started on your rebounding journey once you’ve invested in a premium-quality bounti Rebounder.
Grab All the Gear
To get going on your rebounder, you’ll definitely need some equipment – even for the most basic, beginner workouts. If you’re struggling to balance on your rebounder, you may need to consider investing in one of our bounti Support Bars to get that extra stability and peace of mind while you’re still building up your strength and fitness. Don’t worry, you’ll eventually be confident enough to bounce without it! Just make sure you choose the model that fits your rebounder.
In terms of rebounding accessories, we recommend starting out with our Beginner Exercise Kit (incudes a Mini Pilates Ball, Long Resistance Band, 1kg Dumbbells and a set of Mini-Loop Resistance Bands). These are the basic staples that are included in almost every bounti Class, Workout and Programme.

As you start to build your fitness and strength, you can start adding to your workout arsenal with accessories that add an extra challenge to your workouts. You could start including our weighted bounti Body Bars, which come in 4 different weights; 2kg is suitable for beginners, 3kg is great for beginner/intermediate, 4kg is ideal for intermediate/advanced and a 5kg bar is suitable for an advanced level.
You can also up the weight of your dumbbells! When you feel ready, you can progress from 1kg to 1.5kgs. Although some of our workouts do include heavy dumbbells (2 to 5kgs) at a slower, more controlled pace; for the sake of your safety, we don’t recommend going heavier than 1.5kgs when using light dumbbells. These weights don’t sound too heavy, but the gravitational force incurred by each bounce makes them incredibly challenging. You can start to opt for heavier resistance within your set of Mini-Loop Resistance Bands as you
progress, too!
We also have certain accessories that are specific to particular programmes (i.e. a Pilates Ring for the POUNCE Programme, Sculpt Resistance Bands and Halo Weights
for the bounti Sculpt Programme).
When it comes to choosing your bounti Accessories, it’s best to start with the fundamentals and build up your collection with time. Too much too soon is never a good thing, so start slowly and work your way upwards!
Dress the Part
Like any other fitness modality, you need to dress the part to rebound comfortably! This first tip is for the ladies; proper breast support while bouncing is absolutely vital. The up-and-down bouncing motion can cause irreversible damage to your sensitive breast tissue!
Luckily, this is totally preventable with one of our Body Kind Sports Bras, which have been specially designed to keep women moving comfortably and confidently through any activity, and through every stage of their wellness journeys! These bras are incredibly secure, supportive and totally adjustable. They move and adapt to your body and its unique needs – yes, ladies even through all those hormonal changes and weight fluctuations.
For comfortable, pain-free bouncing, make sure you get your hands on one of these! We’ve innovated and worked to improve them over time to be the best adjustable sports bras on the market.
Next is footwear! For rebounding, we do NOT recommend a pair of trainers or barefoot bouncing. While trainers can be bulky, restrictive and potentially cause ankle pronation or injury when worn on a rebounder over time, barefoot bouncing is just incredibly unhygienic – especially when sharing a rebounder with others!
At bounti, we recommend either a pair of bounti Soles or Socks! Not only are they beautiful and
comfortable, but they’re also breathable and allow you all the foot freedom you need to bounce confidently. They also lessen your chances of injury and mitigate ankle pronation!
Lastly, we strongly recommend bouncing in clothing that is relatively tight-fitting, and won’t irritate, hook onto anything or get in the way. It’s particularly important to invest in a high-quality pair of leggings that won’t fold, roll down or fall off while bouncing. Ladies, we all know how annoying it can be to constantly be pulling up your pants while trying to focus on your workout. Make sure your hair is tied up and out of your face (so that you have full vision), and that you have a water bottle and sweat towel close by! Although it’s unrelated to what you wear, it’s important to also make sure that you’re bouncing in an area that’s free from obstacles or obstructions – be wary of low ceilings, too.

In-Person bounti Classes
Once you’ve got the basics covered, you can finally start bouncing with us at our bounti Classes! At the bounti Studio (corner of Posthouse and Main Road, Bryanston), we offer a huge variety of over 20 rebounding classes per week from our various bounti instructors. Although you do have a rebounder at home, the in studio vibe at our classes is just irreplaceable!
Not only do our classes consist of a warm, welcoming community of like-minded rebounding enthusiasts who regularly love and attend our classes, but the atmosphere is also unbeatable. We have state-of-the-art speakers that really immerse you in the sound and beat of each bounce. Our studio is also loadshedding-proof, so no need to worry about power outages killing the vibe! Plus, all the equipment and rebounders are supplied for you. All you have to do is show up and enjoy yourself!

How do I book a class?
All bounti class sessions are booked via the Octiv app. Once you’ve purchased your sessions here (via our e-store), our team will create an Octiv account for you, where your class credits will be loaded. You will then be sent an email, where all you have to do is create your individual, private Octiv profile and password.
Your Octiv profile is where all of your class credits will live, and where you can select and book the sessions you would like to do, according to our class schedule.
Our studio has:
- Changing rooms and gorgeous shower facilities (body wash, shampoo, a hair dryer, a hair straightener and a fresh, clean towel are provided for you)
- Lockers to store your valuables while you bounce
- Free Wi-Fi and a chilling-out room with comfy chairs
- More than enough safe, FREE parking
- We also have a premium-grade coffee and smoothie bar
- A water cooler, if you need a re-fill
- We stock water bottles, bounti Soles/Socks and anything else needed if you forgot something
How do our in-studio class packages work?
1. All first-timers qualify for a FREE class, so if it's your first time bouncing with us, enjoy a free trial class - on us! Simply, contact us at 060 503 8019 or at office@lisaraleigh.co.za.
2. One of our class package options allows you to book a chosen amount of sessions per week, for a monthly fee. You will need to re-purchase this option each month (NO monthly debit order), as these class credits expire monthly. For this option, the following rates apply:
- 1 class per week = R160 per class; R640 at the end of the month
- 2 classes per week = R150 per class; R1 200 at the end of the month
- 3 classes per week = R140 per class; R1 680 at the end of the month
- 4 classes per week = R130 per class; R2 080 at the end of the month
- 5 classes per week = R120 per class; R2 400 at the end of the month
3. Want unlimited studio bounti classes? Click HERE to check out our Unlimited Studio Classes Subscription, which allows you to attend as many in-person classes as you'd like, all for an affordable, fixed monthly fee of R1 999. This payment WILL be in the form of a monthly debit order. Please note that this subscription only applies to one individual - it cannot be shared with friends or family members.
4. You also have the option of purchasing a bundle of either 5, 10, 20 or 30 classes. These class credits only expire after 12 months from your date of purchase. This means that, after your once-off payment, you have 12 months to attend these classes, and use up these credits before they are no longer valid. For this option, the following rates apply:
- 1 class single time drop in = R210
- 5 classes = R975 (R195 per class)
- 10 classes = R1 800 (R180 per class)
- 20 classs = R3 400 (R170 per class)
- 30 classes = R4 800 (R160 per class)
5. Can’t bounce with us in person? Click HERE to join our classes completely for FREE, online via Zoom. Note that not all in-person classes at the studio are live streamed.

Class Cancellation and Attendance Policy:
If you are unable to attend your class, and wish to cancel for whatever reason, the following applies:
- If your class takes place before 09:00AM the following morning, you must cancel by 18:00PM on the evening before.
- If your class is between 09:00AM and 12:00PM (mid-day), you must cancel by 20:00PM on the evening before.
- If your class is between 12:00PM (mid-day) and 16:00PM, you must cancel by 06:00AM on the day.
- If your class is between 16:00PM and 18:00PM, you must cancel by 08:00AM on day.
If you do not cancel within the above-mentioned times, you will still be billed for the class by deducting a class credit.
Classes or credits are NOT refundable. You may NOT swap current class credits for a different package.
If you are late for a class, you will still be permitted to attend. However, please ensure that you are mindful of other clients, and do not disturb those who are already bouncing. We have all amenities and equipment available at the back of the studio for minimal disruption.
Even if you are late, please ensure that you have signed an indemnity form prior to participation. If you have missed the warm-up at the beginning of the class, please bounce carefully to prevent injury.
For whatever reason, if you do not show up for your class (without prior cancellation), you will still be charged. We do not allow re-scheduling or refunds.
These rules also apply for bounti Fly, bounti Air and bounti Kids’ Classes.

Free Live, Online Classes
If you’d prefer to bounce from the comfort of your own home, we also provide a whole wealth of options for you to choose from. We offer online classes every single day that are streamed to you live, via Zoom! The best part? These classes are totally FREE.
All you have to do is add the R0.00 product of Free Live Classes to your cart, proceed to checkout and fill out all of your details. Our team will be in contact with you shortly to assist you in setting up a profile on the Octiv App, where unlimited online class credits will be loaded to your name. From there, you can go and book any slots in our timetable that suit you!
Shortly before each class, our team will send out the link for you to join the Zoom meeting, or you can access the link in the Octiv App when you click on the class you’d like to join. It’s as easy and cost-effective as that!

Please Note: The quality of your live bounti class stream is dependent on your internet speed, internet service provider and/or specifications of your end device (laptop/computer/tv/phone/tablet).
Minimum internet bandwidth speed for optimal quality (video & sound): 10mbps
It may work on lower bandwidth speeds, but is all dependent on contention on your connection and/or the service level from your ISP.
Minimum laptop/computer specs: Core i5 Processor (or higher) and SSD Hard Drive
Memory on your device may also be a concern, but depends on how many applications you have open at the same time.
Zoom version: please always check that you’re on the latest version of the Zoom application.
Streaming from mobile phones, tablets or TVs are all dependent on the age of the device, operating system updates, etc.
Presently, we have over 10 000 of you happily live streaming our classes. Fewer than 2% of you have had challenges at times with the stream. Unfortunately, we cannot help each of you to troubleshoot what may be wrong on your end. Each home and location is unique, and there too many WiFi variations, implementations and configurations for us to manage on a case-by-case basis. Please contact your ISP or service provider if you have trouble with the live stream quality.
Eskom load-shedding may also have an impact on us at times - if so, we will ensure that we send through a free pre-recorded class to make up for it.
Lastly, if you have booked a spot to attend a live free class, and, up until 15 mins before start time, you have not received the Zoom link, please contact us at 060 503 8019.
bounti Programmes
Perhaps you’re a more goal-oriented person, who prefers a long-term approach to your fitness regime? Or maybe you’re a total rebounding newbie who needs to start with the basics and progress upwards. Our bounti Programmes take you on a fitness journey, with some of them including a collection of standalone workouts, and others taking you on a progressive journey that builds up your fitness and strength by the end of its course.
We also have various world-first programmes that blend rebounding with other fitness niches; such as yoga in our boga Programme, Pilates in our POUNCE Programme, a mixture of Pilates and Barre principles within our bounti SCULPT Programmes, and High-Intensity Interval Training within our HIIT Programme.
We also have options for every age and stage, with our bounti GLO Programme appealing more to older ladies between the ages of 50 and 60, our bounti Kids’ Journeys targeting younger children, and our bounti BODY Programme, which takes teens on a progressive rebounding journey. Our offering has something for the entire family!
New to rebounding and keen to start with the basics? Don’t worry, we have programmes for every fitness level, too! Our Foundation Progamme guides you from the absolute grassroots of rebounding upwards, taking you from 2 to 20 minutes of bouncing over a 4-week period. From there, our Beginner’s Programme 2.0 progresses you from 10 to 60 minutes of rebounding over 8 weeks! It doesn’t stop there we have an Intermediate Progamme and a more advanced LEVEL UP Programme, too!
FOMO Workouts
Another digital workout offering we have is our FOMOs. What is a FOMO? Well, it stands for “Fear of Missing Out”, which is fitting because these workouts are our recorded bounti Classes that have been edited and curated for your at home bouncing pleasure!
The best part? Unlike our other programmes and digital offerings, these workouts are totally downloadable. This empowers you to train completely offline, with no internet access! Once you’ve purchased them, our team will send through the download links to your selected FOMOs. Once you’ve downloaded them onto your device, you’re free to bounce from absolutely anywhere, at any time!
We have thousands of workouts for you to choose from, with workouts from our various trainers, different rebounding class styles, varying fitness levels and different durations.
We regularly update our library of FOMO Workouts, with new workouts released on a monthly basis. We usually release 10 new FOMOs (5 from 2 different instructors each) on the last Friday of every month, which we call “FOMO Fridays”!
Because these workouts are downloadable, we’ve also launched quite a few bundles that are travel-friendly and include minimal, lightweight travel accessories. The goal here is that you can download your workouts onto your device, only take a few lightweight bounti Accessories with you, and still maintain your fitness no matter where you are!
